I try enable the openid server for cas. And I follow the instruction from http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/CASUM/OpenID. I use the cas server 3.2.
But now I am a little confused at the validation procedure of openid. When should I put the openid to login? I don't even know where should I login with my openid. and how can my openid client redirect to cas openid provider? on the wiki, the author gave us an example like http://openid.rutgers.edu/battags , but I don't know whether the openid.xxxx.edu pattern can be changed to other form, such as http://openid.xxx.edu. If it did, then does openid client know which server to redirect to just according to the openuri that user input? Need I make some configuration in the web application on the client side? Now I have setup my openid server on cas, while I don't know how my client interact with server and how can my client to get the validation infomation for the server. What's more, where cas store the openid infomation of users? Need I setup a database or LDAP directory to save it? If I did, in what formation should I store the user's openid url and how can I tell the cas server find the user information? I am totally get loss and I hope someone can get me some tips.
