Smita,

NOTE: I am moving this conversation to the general CAS mailing list as
the developers don't need it clogging their inboxes.

Question 1:

In order to use CAS, it is recommended to have a single identity manager
such as Active Directory, LDAP server, etc. You can find out more
information under the "Authentication" listing on the CAS wiki
(http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/CASUM/Home).

Question 2:

On the CAS wiki under the CAS Clients
(http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/CASC/Home), it talks about the
different clients and what is needed to configure them. The Java client
(http://www.ja-sig.org/wiki/display/CASC/CAS+Client+for+Java+3.1) is
fairly simple though I know nothing about the .NET client.

You should spend some time reading the wiki as it is a fairly well
documented source of information.

Hi Andrew,

Thanks for your reply.
Yes, as you guessed I have installed CAS server on a machine using
JBoss, and now I am trying to implement SSO using it on two
applications.
One of my application is J2EE based, while the other is .NET running on
IIS.

I have two questions
1. The Databases for the two applications are different, so do I need to
create a common database using Active Directory or something for
authentication?
2. What are the specific changes required on J2EE application and .NET
application?

Can you please point us to the right source of information?
