This looks like it'll be good stuff! Previously in CAS 3.0.5 I modified
the AuthenicationManagerImpl class to do the appropriate logging that I
need to track the successful authentication of someone. It'll be nice to
get rid of one more hack in our code when we get converted!

Which version of CAS are you using?  Starting with 3.2 we've
pre-configured CAS using our Inspektr library which has the ability to
log actions (defaults are either Commons Logging or database).
