Hi Chris,
this is a very interesting question. the main-problem with wget with 
casified applications is the handling of cookies. you can try to tell 
wget how to handle the cookies of the cas-server. you can find an 
example here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Wget
if it doesn't work, you can try to connect wget with a pam-module.
it would be very nice if you could tell me / the list if you got it 
working :)
