Dear CAS Community, Due to the time constraints of attempting to seed the Steering Committee before the JASIG UnConference, we're going to be running the call for nominations as well as the request for comments for the governance model at the same time. Therefore, consider this a request for provisional nominations, pending the approval of the Steering Committee by the JASIG board.
If you would like to be considered for the JASIG CAS Steering Committee, please submit your name, a short bio, as well as a platform statement (i.e. what you hope to accomplish, or where you see CAS going, etc.) to me via email. Nominations are open to anyone (you can nominate yourself and you do not have to be a JASIG member). You can nominate someone, but please check with them first ;-) Just a note that the current voting model states that anyone can run but only JASIG members will be able to cast votes. We'll be announcing more details about the voting process as we get closer (and we get approval) Tentatively, pending approval of the governance model at the upcoming JASIG Board meeting we envision the period for nominations to end on August 22, 2008 @ 12 pm Eastern time.
