There's a typo: <property name="pool" should be "pooled".
Also:inside the "authenticateHandlers" the complete bean should be:
<bean class="org.jasig.cas.adaptors.ldap.FastBindLdapAuthenticationHandler">
<property name="filter" value="uid=%u,ou=people,fill-in-the-rest" />
<property name="contextSource" ref="contextSource" />
</bean>
