Which version of Java are you using to start Tomcat? Also, in the TOMCAT_HOME/webapps/cas/WEB-INF/lib directory are the appropriate Spring jars in there? Are there duplicate Spring jars (i.e. spring-jdbc-2.5.jar and spring-jdbc-2.0.8.jar)?
