I've also installed repcached (patched memcached for replication) on my development cluster. The daemon takes a command line argument for the host to replicate to. It looks like it only works with two servers. If it just pushed writes, I wonder if it could be modified to keep pushing changes with more than two servers. Sorta like MySQL replication. But that would probably require transactions and you might as well just use a database backend at that point. As long as I can take one server down for maintenance during slow times and keep services up and running.
