Hi Craig, The license exception was added in 1.0.8 to facilitate packaging in certain distributions, however we are examining license options for the next release that may end up in the code being available under a more permissive license in an effort to remove exceptions and remove the possibility of multi-licensing, etc in an effort to simplify things. I will be getting in touch with the various packaging efforts we are aware of to ensure that the change does not impact their efforts in any way.
