Garey,

The JASIG CAS Client for Java provides a set of filters for connecting
servlet-based applications to CAS. However, its filters are built on a top
of a service layer which includes validators for tickets, etc.  The Yale CAS
Client has a similar design.

You may wish to look at the underlying libraries and build whatever you need
on top of that.
