Excuse me, I was not running ant jar.
I did 'ant release'. apache-cassandra-incubating-0.4.0-dev-bin.tar.gz when
extracted did not have execute on the cassandra-cli.
[ecapri...@laptop1 cassandra-trunk]$ ant release
[ecapri...@laptop1 bin]$ ls -lag
total 24
