I think that Makram Saleh's design (cassandra logo.pdf) has the most potential;
it's the most unique and original of the bunch. The stacked blocks that make a
C play in nicely with Cassandra's concepts. (like clustering, and the rings
always used to visualize routing topology).
However, as they are, they're kind of drab. I'm no graphics designer, but it
seems like it could use some color, and/or maybe some shadow? I'm also not a
fan of the font or the positioning of the word "cassandra".
