It might as well wait until 0.7 then.
There will still be a string restriction on the column name, unless there is a
practical way to express a binary column name in storage-conf.xml where the
secondary indices are declared. Maybe add an attribute to <Index> to indicate
the On attribute contains base64 data or something like that. Ugly crap though.
