Define plain activerecord app.. Since ActiveRecord is part of Castle .. :) As for Init. You could defer the AR init to a background thread and showing the user a disabled UI while you wait for the init to complete. I just don't know if this is really worth the effort :)
Also make sure that you start AR only once. Creating the sessionfactory is a costly operation and it should be re-used as much as possible (I guess AR does that internally doesn't it?) greetings Daniel On Thu, Oct 22, 2009 at 11:48 AM, Gerdus van Zyl <[email protected]>wrote: > > is that something that can be used by a plain activerecord app not using > castle? > > On Wed, Oct 21, 2009 at 10:23 PM, Ayende Rahien <[email protected]> wrote: > > > http://nhforge.org/blogs/nhibernate/archive/2009/03/13/an-improvement-on-sessionfactory-initialization.aspx > > > > On Tue, Oct 20, 2009 at 4:00 PM, Alessandro C. > > <[email protected]> wrote: > >> > >> Initialize activerecord delays application startup.
