I was excited by the idea of scaffolding to quickly prototype something, but now it's time to actually make something useful. I want to be able to tackle my actions one by one, cleaning up the views and making them look nice. But the data models are pretty complex and I'm really growing tired of writing it all by hand.
It would be ideal if I could get a template view from the scaffolding, then simply modify it to make it fit my needs. My searches turned up "Generator" (http://www.castleproject.org/others/contrib/generator/ index.html) from the castle contrib project and a few blog posts, but I can't find it any more. Instead I see a CodeGenerator (http:// using.castleproject.org/display/Contrib/Castle.Tools.CodeGenerator), but this looks very different. Is the original generator gone and dead? Is there an easier way to migrate from scaffolding to "real" code than simply writing it all by hand? -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "Castle Project Users" group.
