Looking at a local copy of the source code on my machine (from July 2010):

        [AttributeUsage(AttributeTargets.Property), Serializable]
        public class HasManyAttribute : RelationAttribute

Looks like properties only (which is probably a restriction based on
hot NHibernate works).
