Hi all,

I was chatting with Krzysztof on Twitter the other day to try and use
Dynamic Proxy for a .NET/Mono cross-platform that I have.

Though the latest version of Dynamic Proxy compiles fine on both Mac and
Linux (with Mono 3.10.0 and 3.2.8 respectively), an error from within
`Castle.DynamicProxy.Generators.Emitters.SimpleAST.FieldReference.StoreReference`

is making Mono crash at runtime on the Mac. Here is the complete
Application Output from within Xamarin
Studio: http://paste.ubuntu.com/9375431/

With some guidance from the current team, I would like to start
contributing towards an effort to make Mono an officially supported
platform.

Thought I will start the discussion here to understand all the
reasons/roadblocks/challenges that is making Mono unsupported at this point.

Also, is there a place where some pointers to what are the conventions and
guidelines for contributing to the project? Especially around adding
another configuration for Mono 3.X.

With the open sourcing of .NET and Microsoft's announcement in encouraging
more cross-platform development with .NET and such - I think there will be
some renewed interest her.

Thanks!
