Hi,
Is there any plan date when the new JDO architecture will be ready ? I'm
asking this because we need more performance from Castor and found out that
one of the major performance gain would be to modify the relation loading
algorithm. The current code try to load an object and its related object
through a single query and thus cause a heavy performance overhead, it also
make the proper implementation of limit clause for Oracle impossible. Hence,
if we modify castor to load the many side of related object in a separate
query that would really improve performance for us ( We are using Oracle 8i
too ). I remember I read somewhere on the list that the new architecture
would actually does this for us. Hence we would like to see whether we can
wait for the new architecture or we will have to hack it on our own.
Btw, is anyone out there have try to do this ?
