Keith,
I've run into a the same problem others have had trying to specify the mapping file for classes generated from an enumeration. You mentioned in a reply (Date: Fri, 16 Feb 2001 13:10:57 -0800 ) that a type safe solution for describing enumeration in a mapping file is on the to-do list. Has an approach been implemented yet?
I have a situation where I'm forced to map several classes in the mapping file including the classes generated for enumerated types.
Alternatively I would prefer to just use the descriptors generated for the enumeration classes. Is it possible to only specify some of the mapping in the mapping file even when there is a child element off of a mapped element?
Ex.
<complexType name="foo">
<sequence> <element name="fooChild" type="fooEnumeration"/> </sequence>
</complexType>
<simpleType name ="fooEnumeration">
<restriction base="string">
<enumeration value="foo_a"/><enumeration value="foo_b"/>
</restriction>
</simpleType>
I would just like to specify foo in the mapping file and not have to specify fooEnumeration. Is this possible? and how would I specify the field for fooChild in the mapping file?
Any help would be appreciated,
George
