I'm plowing through the CVS latest to determine how Castor is going to handle namespaced attributes. The latest mapping.xsd has a "QName-prefix" attribute on <bind-xml>. It's not clear to me how this attribute would help Castor marshal or unmarshal an attribute from a different namespace than that of the containing element. Am I just looking at a work in progress that will soon be able to marshal and unmarshal attributes from different namespaces? Or is that feature not going to be addressed so soon? Any info on who's doing what in this direction, near term, I'd appreciate. Looks like you're evolving the code to do this.
