The full CVS snapshot you are downloading is the CVS snapshot for 0.9.3, not the daily CVS snapshot.
For a daily snapshot you need to go to: ftp://ftp.exolab.org/pub/castor/ Or you can simply use cvs or WinCVS to checkout the files.
