yea i got the problem fixed..I have the persistent class implemet the Timestampable interface.   thanks anywayz.   Now im having problem with the deletion of objects.   Im getting the following exception when im trying to delete objects:   org.exolab.castor.jdo.ObjectNotPersistentException: The object of type com.panacya.etm.Transaction is not persistent -- it was not queried or created within this transaction         at org.exolab.castor.persist.TransactionContext.delete(TransactionContext.java:870)         at org.exolab.castor.jdo.engine.DatabaseImpl.remove(DatabaseImpl.java:379)   Any ideas???   -----Original Message----- From: Russell, Glenn [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Wednesday, December 19, 2001 1:11 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: Re: [castor-dev] modify exception!
