my very knowledgeable linux-guy at work usually points me to
FreeTDS http://www.freetds.org/
we found however out that one of our business partners of ours have paid the license for the

i-net's http://www.inetsoftware.de/English/scripts/frmGateRegistrierung.asp

since it's bundled with their product. so saving a day or two....

if you're going to use it for dev: take the inet driver (no configuration/out-of-the-box), the FreeTDS required, as I recall it, some configuration (only env variables, but anyway).

there's a TDS driver test in javaworld, by the way, that trashes the MS driver but i think the inet driver did OK (2nd, 3rd?), worth checking out (sorry for not remembering the URL)

available, at least for the developer, an inc may have to pay up some...

Mats,

Yeah, that was the problem that I ran into as well. I couldn't find a
driver that was Open Source and/or just free. Do you know of any?

Bruce
