Well, I looked at this project and I don't think it is a fit. Looking at the
Castor JavaDoc, I think my situation fits better under the DSML.

Did you check if there is not a sup project giving this functionality. I
know that there is a castor extention for Tibco messaging server based on
Castor http://raccoon.sourceforge.net/.

We use MQ series for enterprise CRUD work which then stores the data in
stores such as DB, etc. The messages in MQ have to be structured in a
certain way so we have to map/unmap our objects into their schema format.
What I need is a transparent mapping/persistence that will utilize our MQ
backend. I like the JDO concept but it seems to be DB driven right now.
Shouldn't I be able to write the persistence logic to MQ instead of DB? Has
this already been done? What would be the appropriate interface point to
look at. I have not ripped open Castor JDO to look under the hood yet ;-). I
just wanted to get a gut check first.
