Michelle,
Found on: http://xml.apache.org/soap/faq/faq_chawke.html 9.10 How do I exchange complex types between Apache-SOAP and MS SOAP? The Castor XML tool (http://www.castor.org) is one way of doing this. Andrew Fawcett of CODA was kind enough to make some sample code available on the Castor web site: http://www.castor.org/presentations.html. I've used once the XML-SOAP stuff, our XML-SOAP, was defined by a other company, which made changes each time a new release came up. As expected they where still doing heavy development on their XML-SOAP interface. So we then choiced to use FrameMaker, which uses a template and a FrameMaker model. The model is then murched into the template. More concrete, we wrote the xml output file as a template. When it was changed again, we just made the changes in the templates (the data we had to send wasn't changed). And in the application we wrote some methods to fill the model with the data. Then the data could be murged on the template and send to the application. http://freemarker.sourceforge.net/ It should not be a problem to have xml instance as <car ...> </car> or as <car .... /> I think there isn't a setting in Castor for this 'option'. Probutly that there are tools (/ package) which can do this, then let that package read, 'strip' / modify and write then message.
