I'm not sure if it's db.update() trying to create a new object or
if the key generator is just assigning a new id to the existing
object.
I've seen others have this same type of trouble. I've not seen this
myself, but I should try to reproduce it. Unfortunately, I won't
be able to do so very soon because I'm working on another problem.
