could Rainer be using the acces mode "Database Locked " as explained @
http://castor.exolab.org/locking.html ?
Here's the specific fragment I am refering to:
Objects loaded in this mode are always synchronized with the database, that is,
they will never be obtained from the cache and always re-loaded for each new
transaction.
Please correct me if I am wrong ... though that might mean that I have to go back and
do some
additional reading.
