Yes Kamlesh you can specify your own mapping, and tell Castor XML how you want to map your class to XML. I do not completely understand your first question though. You should take a look at the following article:

Also take a look at the Castor documentation on the exolab site, it's short but has some pretty good examples.

Sorry, Could not end my previous e-mail properly and it got sent.

I have searched the archives but did not get a definative answer as to if anyType was being mapped to java Object or not.

Also hoe can I specify my own mapping if I want to for certain xml types.
