Jamie, 

Based on what others have said, I believe that you're correct in your
assessment, but I've not used Castor XML in quite a while.

I'm not aware of any other examples of using Castor JDO other than
those from the Castor project. I'm currently working on expanding the
examples to demonstrate more of Castor JDO's features. Ask away with
your questions and I'll try to help you.
