Hi, >toXML() or xmlString() I'd say, but I like it.
The convention I've seen commonly used, and recommend to my developers, is toXML(). This is in addition to a toString() method. Some people like to have an interface, e.g. XmlRepresentationI, with just the toXML() method. This allows uniform access to objects that have an XML representation. By the way, Mr. Hoogland: very cool email address! ;) Yoav Shapira Millennium ChemInformatics
