I've installed
castor and run some examples, and I'm wondering if there's any way to create
mappings between datasources.
i.e, I have a
set of tables in an oracle schema that i would like to link up with another set
of tables in another schema.
These schemas are
using different datasources ( using different username/password
).
Is this possible in
Castor? Or do synonyms have to be created at the database level to link
between schemas?

We are in the
process of evaluating a new platform for a project and we needed a good O/R
mapping tool. I tasked myself with creating a simple
implementation using Resin and Castor ( one potential choice ). In 6
hours, I produced a basic prototype ( including installation, configuration, and
writing all the code. I have to say that, above all the other O/R choices
we had, Castor was fastest to get up, performs very well, and is just so much
easier to deal with. Kudos to all the developers. I do hope
that as we begin to work more with it, we'll be able to give back.
