Subject: [castor-dev] update problem

We have a problem with updates (concurrent transaction exception) after the shutdown and restart of app server.  We solved the problem by marking date fields by dirty=”ignore”.  Is there a better solution for the update problem?  It seems like many people on the news groups are running into the same problem, so we wonder whether our solution is acceptable and whether there is a better one than turning off the dirty checking on certain field.
