Davide,

Validation rules (such as minOccurs=1)
are only validated when you invoke marshaling or unmarshaling
(and then, only if the org.exolab.castor.marshalling.validation
property is set to true).

Also, of course, the rules are fired if you invoke isValid() or
validate()
on your generated value objects or Validator.validate().

Have you tried this yet?  What errors are you getting?
