I've had similar trouble with the oracle-xa-service.xml. I had to switch to
the oracle-service.xml. I didn't have the time to troubleshoot it much because
I needed to spend time developing the app. I'm going to need to revisit this
before the app is deployed, though, because I need the XA service.
