i've read the thread talking about java.sql.Timestamp
and writing a custom handler to resolve the marshalling
and unmarshalling issue. here's the link:

http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg09433.html

however, i use this timestamp field with both xml marshalling
and the castor JDO. i believe that the approach listed before
mentioned having the mapping relate to a String object... so
there are any other caveats out there related to the JDO side
of things? in the end, i need to list the field as type
java.sql.Timestamp, not String. i guess i could have a separate
mapping file for the entire XML transformation, but that means
that it would require the two being in sync and could result
in manual errors.

last - the formatting in DateFieldHandler, is that a std format?
(ie. "yyyy-MM-dd'T'HH:mm:ss.SSS"). just wondering... i just
haven't seen that 'T' anywhere else.
