Amen brother,

You can use the Whiteboard edition for quick things as it does not allow printing .. but you can see the model.

Rose has its' place (dumpster).

Do not use Rational Rose, it's the worse design tool ever sold.

Just create a project in Together Control Center to get your UML
diagrams instantly (Class diagrams). You can even get sequence
diagrams if you want.
