You can set the classpath dynamically using a custom class loader. I'm confused though as to why you can't include a directory in your classpath unless you are dynamically generating castor objects using source generator in your program and need to dynamically generate the properties file? Granted I did not get the very first post of yours for one reason or another. You can probably do a search online and find some custom class loaders out there on the net. There is one project called Invoker...um, JODE dynamically updates the classpath I believe as well. You can find that on www.sourceforge.com. If you go back over your very first post I may be able to help you out more...can't seem to find it in my emails.
