Actually discovered that there is a problem with
Oracle9i new Timestamp data type.  The application
worked fine with Oracle9i's JDBC driver.  However,
Weblogic6.1sp2's Oracle jDriver does not recognized
Oracle9i's new Timestamp datatype(s), so an error was
occuring in Weblogic's driver.  To resolve the
problem, it was agreed internally to use the Date type
instead since use of the Timestamp wasn't absolutely
mandatory and we are unfortunately confined to using
Weblogic6.1sp2's Oracle jDriver.
