Title: Newbie: Relation Question
Tim,

I have been updating Castor OIL for the past many months with various improvements.  Depending on which version you are using, collections are not fully supported yet.

The 2.0 version does generate the mapping.xml with collection support, but the generated code does not reflect this just yet.  It is simple enough to change this and in the next week or so I hope to have preliminary support for basic collection types in the generated code.

Regards,

Subject: [castor-dev] Newbie: Relation Question

All,

I have been attempting JDO for a few days.  I have used Middlegen and it generated a nice but unusable set of java JDO code.  Next, I found CastorOil on the 3rd party tools link.  My question is about the difference in the code.

I have an Employee table (T_Employee).  One attribute of Employee is IPT.  This is a foreign key linked to T_IPT.id.  The Middlegen code treats this attribute as a Collection of T_IPT.  The CastorOil does not.  It is simply an attribute of type int.

Which is right?  Is right in the eye of the beholder or is one implementation correct and the other incorrect?

Thanks,

Tim
