Avalovin,
if building Castor from source is not a problem for you, why don't you download the
most recent Castor sources from
the CVS repository at castor.exolab.org. With some recent updates by Bruce last week,
the code in the repository
now relies on Avalon Commons Logging and Log4J.
Not only would it be much easier to add your own debug/trace statements, you'd have
more flexibility to configure
the
logging framework to your needs.

Hi Bruce,I downloaded castor-0.9.5.zip and build it from the source code. Looking
forward to get some help from
you.Cheers,Avalovin
====================================================================Avalovin,
Depending on
which version of Castor you're using, the answer willvary. In the CVS version, I
recently switched the logging over to
makeuse of Log4J so the logging can be easily traced. If you're using thelast released
version of Castor, it is still
using
the old logging andwe'll probably need to change some code to add loggi!
ng for
the itemsyou want to see. Please let me know what version you're using and wecan get
you what you need. Bruce

Hi Castor users,
I am not very familiar with how Castor works internally.
Can anybody tell me how can I know what is the SQL command that Castor is going to
execute?
The mapping.setLogWriter( writer ) and jdo.setLogWriter(writer) is logging SQL for
loading, creating, updating and
so no. But I get a SQLException excep 1ORA-01747: invalid user.table.column,
table.column, or column
specification
when caster execute db.commit(). Could not find any relevant log message which can
cause the problem.
So I want to know about the SQL statement, which is causing problem.
I want to add that this happens only when I change the value of the retrieved object
through corresponding
setAccessor() methods and then issue a db.commit() to update the object.
Any help will be highly appreciated.
