Hi,
I still have difficulties understanding OQL-Queries. The document http://castor.exolab.org/oql.html doesn't help very much. Some sample OQL-Queries would be nice, but I didn't find some anywhere.
Currently I am trying to use the aggregate function count(), but don't know how to form the query. A normal select would be
"SELECT count(kontakt FROM de.devlogix.kontakt.data.Kontakt) kontakt".
What should I do to change it to only get the quantity of the entries? And is there still a performance difference to just selecting the entries and then counting in my java app? I want to do this because I need the result very fast and so avoid querying all entries and such.
Marco
