I have used Castor JDO a bit with Spring, but not to the extent you are (probably) looking for. Point is that Castor JDO can be definitely used with Spring (through their ProxyBeanFactory), but as it stands, there is no support for some of the integration features between Spring and Hibernate.

I started implementing Castor into Spring back in August, but I didn't get very far at all. I would really like to see integration for Castor in Spring and MiddleGen. I've used Spring fairly extensively and the concept is very powerful. If you carry forward with this effort, please don't take the discussion offline. I encourage any and all discussions WRT Castor to remain online. The only suggestion I would make is to move the discussion to the castor-dev@ list.
