It's not pretty but if you edit your castorbuilder.properties file you can turn on extraCollectionMethods. This will create extra methods that will give you direct access to the internal collections.

I have a query regarding Java2 collection types in generated classes. The internal structure is an java.util.ArrayList but it is still exposed as an array[]. To some degree I can understand why this but I would like to be able to expose it as a generic Java 2 collection type, say java.util.List. I read an old thread about this and a patch was provided but I've been unable to locate this patch cause the the thread was so old. Can somone help me with this or tell me where to find this patch. Thank you.
