Hi Emir,

Apologies for the late reply, but the castor-taglib project contains an
object factory for binding Castor JDO objects to JNDI in Tomcat 4.x. It
also has an object factory for binding the Tyrex transaction manager if
you want managed transactions in Tomcat.

I don't know if it would be of use in Tomcat 5.x - it is my intention to
update the castor-taglibs to use newer versions of JBoss and Tomcat.

http://castor-taglib.sourceforge.net

Hope this helps,

Patrick

With Tomcat 5.5.x, have a look at

http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-5.5-doc/jndi-datasource-examples
-howto.html

for instructions on how to setup a JDBC DataSource with mySQL, and

http://jakarta.apache.org/tomcat/tomcat-5.5-doc/jndi-resources-howto.htm
l

for instructions on how to bind a JDO instance to JNDI. Please note that
especially with the first document, adding <context> instances to the
main
server.xml file might not be the best option.
