how about adding a new property to (Local)Configuration so that this can be 
changed in a declarative way ? Iow, Adam, if you believe you'd need this 
feature (desperately or not), please consider creating an enhancement request 
at http://bugzilla.exolab.org, and we'll discuss pros and cons within the 
bug report.
