Hi,

It seems the Axis POJO generator has got a lot better since I used it
last. So since Axis is actually offering the full Web Service stack
implementation (and not just XML marshalling). I'd actual go with that
until you find some reason why its POJO (aka Schema Source Generator)
isn't working for you. Currently it seems to work fine for us with all
the XML Schema we usually push through Castor's Source Generator.
Finally if you do decide to switch, Axis has a Castor
Serialiser/Deserialiser you can use, and thus have the best of both
worlds! :-)

Cheers,

Andy.

Subject: [castor-user] Castor vs Axis for web services

I'm a keen user of Castor for XML marshalling in a couple of my systems.

I am currently looking at architectures for web services. Apache Axis is
useful for doing this because it can generate POJOs from an XML Schema
and assist with marshalling and marshalling as a web service...which of
course Castor can do too.

Can anyone give me some reasons why Castor would be able to handle web
services better then Axis at with web services?

Better control over what gets unmarshalled, as Castor mapping file can
be altered?
