Yep, i've had similar. Looks like CDATA sections are not completely
unparsed. Carriage returns, tabs are turned into spaces, line feeds are
retained. I now hold my formatted text as html.

Subject: [castor-user] problems with carriage returns

hi,
I have to store in a xml file the content from a textarea. the thing is
that I need to save the carriage returns, so I save this content with
the <![CDATA[ ]]> tag. the problem is that under windows, the
development enviroment, the carriage returns are displayed while
retrieving the content, but under linux, the production enviroment,
they arent. the content is displayed in a single line
.the web application was tested with resin and tomcat in both o.s. with
the same result
has anyone else seen this behaviour?

thanks in advance
