Yeah, it would seem that draining the system would create possible airlock
problems. And what's the point anyway since the contents of the bucket
(antifreeze) are going to replace what's in the system in a few seconds anyway?

However it should be noted my system has fresh water in it not seawater. We
also have relatively warm winters here so getting into the twenties happens
briefly every few years and the 100 year record is the mid teens.
I'd recommend following the manufactures recommendations to get the best
protection possible.
