I'm doubtful since a lot of low end non-invasive meters like this usually
measure moisture by introducing IR, RF or microwave signals to cause
evaporation and it "sniffs" the amount of water vapor given off.  Not going
to happen through fiberglass.  Other's use probes you stick into the wood to
measure conductivity. Really good ones I think use ultrasound and moisture
is calculated based on some sort of density calculation - but they are
easily 3 or 4 times more expensive.   

I think it would be a rare boat that didn't have some moisture in the core -
as for me - as long as it doesn't squish when I walk on it I'll figure I'm
OK and I'll spend the $150 on adult beverages -

I didn't have luck with your link, but I did go onto www.harborfreight.com,
did a keyword search for "moisture" and found the item I think you're
talking about.  The link I copied for it is:

I noticed the description indicates that it has four scales for various
types of wood.  Do you have any feel for what it's accuracy might be for
fiberglass, or for balsa sandwiched in fiberglass?
