Phil,
Thanks, please don't take my asking as impatience.
I didn't know if they were existing.
Thanks

Hi Pat,

There are other priorities until later in the week but I should finish shooting this week. After that I’ll back-up and do some basic batch image processing in Photoshop and start assembling in PDFs by issue. Based on the testing I did earlier (if nothing goes wrong) we’ll have early content showing up next week. I’ll have to do a few before I’ll SWAG the end date.

When they publish the PDFs will be linked to the Technical Index by issue.

Hi Art,

Yes!

There might be some holes in the ’83 to ’85 range before the Mainsheet adopted publication routine (Feb May Aug Nov) it’s hard to tell. I’ll check with the editors if no one comes forward confident they have everything from those years.

We have:

Spring ’83 (First Issue)

Summer ‘83

Fall ‘83

Winter ‘84

Spring ‘85

Winter ‘85

April ‘86

The Feb May Aug Nov routine started mid ’86 with August.

The missing from the 4 per year format (or possibly just not kept in sequential order) list is as follows:

Feb ‘88

Feb ‘90

Feb ‘92

Aug ‘92

I’m sure there will be a few more as I work forward in time from ’95. So did I get luck and you have 3 of the 4 missing so far?

Thanks,

Phil

Are there any Mainsheet issues that you are missing?

I Have 2 or 3 years of issues around 1990 that came with the boat.

Think spring,

How could I pass up a classic like the Swift Rudder advertisement?

And yes there was one listed for a C27, but don’t think it ever caught on.

But it was a productive day, as I made it through 5 years of old Mainsheets.

I’m archiving:

Cover

Editor’s Bark

Issue Index

From the Builder

The occasional (C27) cruise story

Generic performance articles

The C27 section

The C27 Tech section

Some sailing goodie ads, if they are especially interesting.

544 pages from the first 12 years (some will be throw outs) in the can, as it were.

10 years to go.  Another 5 years should go today.

Have others received messages?  I’ve also received very little other traffic so perhaps something is wrong with my mail server…
